4 reasons to bulk buy for a sustainable life

Whether you’re shopping for treats, gifts for your besties or simply stocking up the cupboards, buying in bulk is the way to go.

Here are four real reasons why it’s (often) good to buy by the bucket load. 

1. Save money

Buying in bulk or bundles is almost always cheaper than individual buys. When it’s something you use often, like soap, the savings quickly add up. 

Take our Hair Care bars for example. If you buy a 10, you save 10%. 

Don’t buy for the sake of a bargain (c’mon admit it, we all do it), but look out for bulk special offers.

2. Reduce waste

Bulk buying is a brilliant way to reduce waste. It uses less packaging to wrap one big block than to package several smaller items.

Humble-brag alert… We don't use any plastic in our soap bar product or packaging. None at all. And our packaging is home compostable and biodegradable. 

But many businesses do use plastic, most of it ending up in landfill. As it decomposes, it stinks. That's methane, a harmful greenhouse gas.

3. Reduce transport miles

Bulk items save on transport. Manufacturers pack and deliver more bulk items than separate items. You, as the shopper, will not need to pop to the shops as often as you’re well-stocked.
