Our All Natural Soap Flakes are made only of natural plant oil goodness and packed in sustainable packaging, ensuring hundreds of plastic bottles are saved from becoming landfill! Made up of off cuts from our all natural soaps, they are ground down into handy flakes that can be used for all types of cleaning purposes.

What makes our All Natural Soap Flakes better than conventional detergents?

Firstly, chemicals used in conventional detergents often leave a residue on our clothes and linens that can easily be absorbed by our skin. Washing powder is often overlooked as a product that is not used directly on our skin. However, every time we do a load of laundry with conventional detergents, we are putting ourselves in contact with chemical we would never dream of using on our bodies. These chemicals have the potential to pose a range of health risk that may including but not limited to allergies, headaches, nausea and contact dermatitis.

As well as the risks these chemicals in conventional detergents pose to ourselves and families, they also have an impact on our environment after use. Millions of tons of detergents are used every day ending up in our waterways and are toxic to aquatic life. If the toxic fragrances weren’t enough, conventional laundry detergents also contain phosphates, sulphates, ammonia, naphthalene, phenol, optical brighteners, EDTA, and more. These chemicals also can be harmful to our health as well as have long term toxic effects on the environment.

Lastly, its important to consider the amount of energy, natural resource and waste that is involved in the mass production and transportation of billions of gallons of plastic packaged, toxic laundry detergents. This is a factor that ourselves as a small footprint family, is just too significant to ignore.

5 ways to use our Soap Flakes:

In a washing machine:

• For front-loading washing machines, use 1 tablespoon of our all-natural soap flakes.
• For top-loading machines, place 1 tablespoon of all-natural soap flakes directly into the load.
• These flakes are suitable for both hot and cold water.
• For added natural antibacterial properties, combine with a few drops of our Tea Tree or Eucalyptus oil.
• Enjoy the amazing scent and the benefits for your skin and the environment!

For handwashing clothes:

• Fill a sink with warm water.
• Add 1 tablespoon of our all-natural soap flakes and stir until bubbles form.
• Soak and scrub the garments in the soapy water.
• Alternatively, if you don't have a sink, rub the all-natural soap flakes directly onto the wet clothes.

For dishwashing liquid:

• Add approximately 1 tablespoon of our soap flakes to hot water.
• Stir vigorously to dissolve and create bubbles.
• Transfer the liquid into a reusable squeeze bottle.
• Wash and rinse your dishes as you would with any other dishwashing liquid.
• Note: Do not use this dishwashing liquid in dishwashers.

How to make a cleaning gel for household use:

• Add equal portions of boiling water to our all-natural soap flakes in a container.
• Let the flakes sit for at least an hour to dissolve and thicken, creating a thick paste.
• Use this paste to wash kitchen and bathroom surfaces like a regular household cleaner.

How to make a liquid soap using our All Natural Soap Flakes for handwashing:

• Add approximately 3 parts hot water to 1 part of our all-natural soap flakes.
• Stir vigorously until the flakes dissolve.
• Pour the mixture into a reusable liquid soap bottle.
• Wash and rinse your hands as you would with any other liquid soap.
• This luxurious liquid soap can be used in bathrooms, kitchens, or anywhere else!
