Where Our Ingredients Come From (And Why That Matters)
It’s Australian Made Week — and while we reckon every week is a good week to support local, it’s a perfect time to talk about something close to our hearts: where our ingredients come from.
We get asked this all the time:
“Where do your ingredients come from?”
Not in a nosy way — in a you-actually-care kind of way. And honestly? We love it. Because you deserve to know what’s going on your skin, and where it all begins.
When we started The ANSC over a decade ago, we made a promise: real ingredients, no crap. That hasn’t changed — and it never will. Here’s a few examples of where the magic starts, and the products that bring it all to life:
🌿 Olive Oil from WA — Found in Our Olive Bulk Bars (500g or 1kg)
We don’t use just any olive oil. Ours comes straight from Western Australia, where the climate’s perfect for growing olives packed with all the good fats your skin loves. Cold-pressed, fresh, and full of skin-loving nutrients, it’s the hero of our Olive Bulk Soap Bars. No palm oil. No fillers. Just good, honest soap in sizes big enough to share (or not — we won’t judge).
🍋 Lemon Myrtle from Northern NSW — Featured in Our Lemon Myrtle Solid Soap
If you’re after that fresh, clean, straight-out-of-the-bush scent, this one’s for you. Our Lemon Myrtle Solid Soap gets its zing from oils grown in Northern NSW by folks who actually walk the land. It’s antibacterial, it’s naturally uplifting, and it’ll make your shower smell like you’ve stepped into the rainforest after rain. Big mood.
🌿 Eucalyptus from Northern NSW — In Our Eucalyptus Bulk 2L Hand & Body Wash
This isn’t your average eucalyptus. It’s wild, crisp, and earthy — the kind that makes your bathroom smell like a bush retreat. We blend it into our 2L Eucalyptus Hand & Body Wash, perfect for families, work sinks, or just folks who really love that tingly-clean feeling without drying out your skin.
💜 Lavender from Tasmania — Used in Our Lavender Solid Soap
We use real Tasmanian lavender — not the synthetic stuff that smells like nana’s sock drawer. It’s gentle, floral, and genuinely calming. Our Lavender Solid Soap is the go-to for winding down at the end of a long day, or for washing little ones without worrying about weird additives. (I’ve been using it on my daughter since she was born.)
🥥 Macadamia Oil from Queensland — Star of Our Pink Clay Cleanser
This oil’s a quiet achiever. Packed with fatty acids, it hydrates without being greasy, making it a perfect base for our Pink Clay Cleanser. It’s gentle, effective, and leaves your skin feeling like, well… skin. Not tight, not squeaky. Just soft and balanced — the way it should be.
Every ingredient we use has a story — and a postcode. We don’t chase trends. We chase trust. Our suppliers aren’t faceless corporations — they’re part of our extended community. Just like you.
