Happy International Tea Day! — Sit down and drink tea

It's International Tea Day! yes, we're doing this.

So. It's May 21st. International Tea Day. And yes, I know what you're thinking... But hear me out, because I think this one's worth your time. After all 2.3 billion cups of tea are drunk every day globally.

Now I want to be clear... We love coffee. Like, genuinely, deeply love it. The café culture in this part of the world is something else. The craft, the specificity, the fact that the flat white has caused an ongoing and extremely passionate debate between Australia and New Zealand that nobody is close to resolving. (Both countries are convinced they invented it. Both countries are holding firm. It's kind of iconic.)

So we're not here to start anything. We're just saying — there's another cup worth your attention!

And honestly, May is the best possible time for this conversation. There's something about the way the season shifts. The cool in the mornings, that golden late-afternoon light, the feeling that everything is slowing down just slightly — that makes you want to make something warm and sit with it. Tea was invented for exactly this. The whole act of it. The kettle, the waiting, the holding the mug with both hands...It's a whole mood!

What I didn't know until recently is that May is actually a massive month in the tea world. It's harvest season — the first and finest leaves of the year are being picked and turned into something extraordinary by people who've spent years learning how to do it. There are teas out there right now that are at their absolute freshest, their most vibrant. If you've always stuck to the same teabag (no shame, same), this might be the moment to try something a bit different. The rabbit hole is real and it is worth it.

Anyway — to celebrate, we've bundled up two of our most tea-inspired soaps and we're doing 25% off for 24 hours, because why not make it a whole thing.

The Lemongrass & Ginger Tea Soap is the one I'd describe as "the bar that wakes your face up." Lemongrass oil, ginger oil, dried lemon myrtle leaf — it's bright and citrusy and a little bit spicy and lemon myrtle is naturally antibacterial which feels like a bonus on top of already smelling incredible. Morning shower essential.

The Chai Soap is the other one — and this is the slow one, the cosy one. Clove, cinnamon, nutmeg. It smells like the best possible version of a chai latte and clove is naturally antimicrobial so it's doing a lot of work while also just smelling amazing. The kind of soap you buy and then immediately feel good about your life.

Oh — and completely separately, the full Autumn Edit bundle is 30% off at the moment. Six soaps, all very much built for this season. If you've been curious about it, now's a good time.

Happy International Tea Day. Go put the kettle on — you've absolutely earned it.
