Meet the Castile Sisters: Macadamia & Almond, Two Bars. One Philosophy.
There's a moment, somewhere between your third "natural" soap that still left your skin feeling tight and your second "gentle" cleanser that gave you a rash, where you start asking a different question.
Not what's in it. But how little needs to be in it.
That's where the Castile soaps live. And now there are two of them.
The Castile philosophy, if you haven't met it yet
Castile soap has a long history — named after a region of Spain where soap makers figured out something important centuries ago. A bar built on a single pure plant oil, saponified slowly and simply, doesn't need much else. No fillers to bulk it out. No synthetic surfactants to make it lather dramatically. No fragrance to mask what's underneath. Just oil, transformed into soap, doing what soap was always meant to do.
You might already know our Olive Castile — the workhorse, the original, the one people come back to again and again. The Macadamia and the Almond are its sisters. Same bones, different characters. And depending on your skin, one of them might suit you even better.
Macadamia Castile: the oil that Australia does best
Macadamia oil is one of those ingredients that makes more sense the more you learn about it.
Australia produces the vast majority of the world's macadamias — the nut is native here, the trees thrive here, and the oil pressed from them is genuinely exceptional. It's one of the richest natural sources of palmitoleic acid, an omega-7 fatty acid that your skin actually produces itself when you're young, and produces less of as you age. Applying it topically is like returning something your skin has been quietly missing.
The result on skin is deeply nourishing without heaviness. It absorbs beautifully, leaves a silky feeling that isn't greasy, and is particularly good at supporting dry, sensitive, or mature skin that needs a little more than the average bar can offer.
The Macadamia Castile Soap is built on 100% Australian macadamia oil — nothing else — with a light, natural, slightly nutty warmth that's purely the ingredient itself. No added fragrance. No essential oils. Just the oil, honest and whole.
It's a limited edition release, back by popular demand in its original heritage packaging. When it goes, it goes.

Almond Castile: the lighter touch
Sweet almond oil has a different personality. Where macadamia is deeply nourishing and richly conditioning, almond oil is lighter — silkier, more effortless. It absorbs almost immediately, leaves no residue, and works with your skin's natural barrier rather than simply coating it.
It's high in oleic and linoleic fatty acids, the fatty acids your skin barrier is made of, which means it replenishes rather than just moisturises. The distinction matters — replenishing your barrier means your skin gets better at holding onto its own hydration over time, not just in the moment after washing.
It's also one of the gentlest oils known to dermatology. Sweet almond oil has been used on newborns for centuries. Which means if you have reactive, sensitive, or allergy-prone skin — or if you're buying for a family that includes small people — this is a bar you can hand around the bathroom without thinking twice.
The Almond Castile is fragrance-free, essential-oil-free, filler-free. One ingredient. Nothing to react to.

So which one is for you?
Honestly? Maybe both.
If you have dry, mature, or very sensitive skin that craves something deeply nourishing — the Macadamia is your match. It's richer, more conditioning, and particularly good at skin that needs a bit more love.
If you're looking for something lighter and more versatile — a bar that works on your face, your body, the kids, the whole household — the Almond is the one. It's gentle enough for daily use on every skin type without ever feeling like too much.
If you love the Olive Castile but have always wanted to explore what else a single-ingredient soap could do — try both and compare. It's a genuinely interesting exercise in how much a single oil shapes a soap's personality.

The bulk option: for when you've found your soap
Both bars come in a 500g bulk cake — same pure oil, same single-ingredient formula, just more of it. Cut it into bars, grate it for laundry, or dissolve it in warm water for an all-purpose household cleaner. At $41.85 for 500g, it goes further than you'd expect.
The Macadamia Castile Bulk is worth grabbing now — it's limited edition, and once it's gone, it's really gone. The Almond Castile Bulk is your whole-household workhorse, every skin type, every age, every use case.
Cold-processed. Slowly. In Melbourne.
Both bars are made right here. Cold-processed, which preserves the natural properties of the oils rather than cooking them out. No shortcuts, no industrial scale. Just the oil, the process, and the patience to let it cure properly.
It's the kind of soap making that doesn't translate well into a marketing bullet point. It's just the way it's always been done here, because the result is different — and that difference is the whole point.
A quick note: our EOFY sale is on now, and both the Macadamia and Almond Castile soaps are included. Which is a good moment to try something new, or stock up on something you already love. The Macadamia in particular is a limited edition, so if it's been on your list, now's the time.
